A?NOTABLE member of the Barbados Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender community is upset that she was not given the kind of service she expected by some staff members at PriceSmart.
An upset Didi Winston said while trying to purchase a radio on Tuesday afternoon, three employees of the Warrens, St Michael-based company saw her “and moved away” instead of offering assistance.
“I didn’t see anyone at first. I wanted to get more information on the radios. I . . . saw three [employees] talking and I said: ‘Excuse me, do you work here? Can I have some assistance please?’ They acknowledged me from where they were, [and] it was like I didn’t exist.”
Dissatisfied, Winston spoke to the manager, but claimed “she did nothing.”
