Government has done a poor job at reaching out to the country, admitted Cabinet Minister Donville Inniss yesterday.
But he’s convinced it is doing the right thing for Barbados’ further development.
Inniss’ comments came in response to a University of the West Indies Cave Hill campus survey which showed that 54 per cent of respondents felt the Government was doing a fair or good job on the economy.
The survey, carried out via telephone interviews, was conducted by lecturer in the Department of Management Studies, Dr Dwayne Devonish, among householders between the first week of March and the first week of this month.
Of those surveyed, 43 per cent said the Government was doing a poor job in relation to economic policies, 27 per cent felt the administration was doing a fair job and a further 27 per cent a good job. Three per cent fell into the “don’t know” category.
