Residents of Dunscumbe Hill, Canefield, St Thomas, could soon have a solution to the mud affecting them from a nearby construction site.
Hope for relief was held out for the residents after Member of Parliament for the parish Cynthia Forde and representatives from the Ministry of Transport and Works visited the area yesterday in an effort “to come up with some kind of activity” to correct the issue.
It was reported that top soil was being washed onto the road and slowly moving into the homes of residents from the nearby Canefield residential development project being undertaken by Eastern Land Developments Ltd.
Residents expressed anger at the situation, reporting that they had to be cleaning regularly and taking precautions not to let the mud settle inside their houses and businesses. (MM)
