The motoring experience of a lifetime is awaiting some lucky Barbadians.
Petroleum giant Shell is offering motorists the opportunity to fill up with Shell V-Power gasoline or Shell Diesel for the chance to win a trip to Maranello, Italy, the home of Ferrari.
And at the Shell Top Rock Service Station in Christ Church, Kirk King, sales and marketing manager of SOL (Barbados) Ltd, the licensed operator of Shell service stations, said the aim of the promotion was to reward customers with the motoring experience of a lifetime.
The Shell V-Power promotion started on August 5 and will run until September 23. It is offering weekly cash prizes and free fuel with the grand prize winner receiving a trip for two to Italy with US$1 000 in spending money.
“We hope that by using Shell V-Power gasoline and diesel, motorists can improve their driving experience. And now they can also be a part of this most memorable and coveted Ferrari experience to Italy, officially the fifth most visited country in the world,” King added.
He said Sol was passionate about offering quality, high performance fuels.
The Museo Ferrari in Maranello, Italy, is an “extraordinary experience” of the world of Ferrari, where visitors can take in both the historic and present-day models of the world’s most powerful automotive brand in an experience offered via the cars, big screens, films, and interactive media.
A wide range of publications and other materials also tell the story of Ferrari.
For every $40 spent on Shell V-Power gasoline or Shell Diesel, customers will receive a coupon which they can complete and drop into boxes provided to be eligible for the grand prize trip.
Each Friday, for the duration of the promotion, there will be a “happy hour” at a designated Shell station, where $4 000 in free fuel will be presented to the weekly winner.
There will also be free Ferrari premium giveaways including messenger bags, key chains, mugs and caps to be won.
Fans of Shell V-Power can also participate via social media to be eligible to win weekly cash prizes of $100 each by visiting Facebook for the catch phrase and heading to the designated service station to collect the cash.
