BARBADOS’ FLEDGLING FILM INDUSTRY could go a long way towards improving Barbados’ economic fortunes.
This is the assessment of officials of the four-year-old Barbados Film and Video Association Inc. (BFVA) who say the sector has the potential to provide employment for a wide range of professionals.
“Film is one of those few industries that can encompass a lot of different industries.
“If we have a major production here in Barbados, you not only have actors getting work [but] technical people like soundmen, cameramen [as well as] carpenters, make-up artists [and] designers.
