THE MANY DIFFERENT FRUITS that are common in St Andrew were on display along the East Coast Road stretch when veteran vendor Mark Felicien set up his stall by the roadside.
Felicien, who has been vending for 23 years, was seen with his cashews, fat pork, ackees and West Indian cherries, most of which he said he usually picked himself – cashews from the hill and fat pork from the beach.
He said he enjoyed it because it was a lot of fun, allowing him to meet a lot of people and to keep fit.
Stopping by not only to learn about local fruit but to buy some was visitor Mustapha Ayat from Morocco.
Ayat, who was on the final day of his trip, said he had spent a week in the island and was driving around enjoying the beautiful island when he saw the vendors by the roadside.
Here, Ayat talking to Wyclef Audain about the variety of fruit on display. (LK)
