ONE SYMBOL of the intensity of calypso in Crop-Over is the presence of the Mighty Gabby on stage and in competition.

Holder of eight national calypso titles, he announced his return and made his first appearance in 24 hours and minutes later the judges placed him among the semi-finalists for this year’s Pic-O-De-Crop competition.

He performed Oh Haiti and “Ole’ Ashae.

Where are the recordings Gabberts. You need to record some music Gabby. Inspire others not compete on any calypso stage. Having said that, I believe Gabby IN A COMPETITION IS hard TO BEAT. I HOPE THE JUDGES DO NOT PLAY THE FOOL AND UNFAIR GABBERTS like they did year before; Gabby went into the semifinals leading and then they left him out of the Finals. That was gross !!!
