Games growing

AT A TIME when everyone and everything seems to be downsizing, participation at this year’s National Senior Games has been the opposite.
Not only did the number of athletes increase from 231 at last year’s event to 289 at yesterday’s meet at the National Stadium, but there were also 89 new athletes.
And according to meet director Rawle Clarke, this is a very good sign as it shows that Barbadians are taking their health into account as they grow older.
In an interview with SUNSPORT yesterday, Clarke said that the numbers pointed to a change of attitude amongst Barbadians, with more choosing healthier lifestyles.
