THE BUSHY PARK racing track is set to undergo a major redevelopment.
In an interview with WEEKENDSPORT, president of the Barbados Motoring Federation, (BMF) Andrew Mallalieu, said that when finished, the new track would be a Category 3 circuit, allowing for the hosting of international meets.
The entire project is set to commence on July 1 and take a number of years, although the new track is scheduled to be relaid in about nine months.
“Although we won’t be able to run Formula 1 or the highest of things, we will still be able to host a whole lot of other events which you wouldn’t normally be able to see in Barbados,” Mallalieu said.
