SCORES OF BARBADIANS enjoyed free “gondola-type rides” in the Careenage yesterday.
The rides, sponsored by the Urban Development Commission (UDC) and private sector interests, were described in a UDC Press release as “a spark of sorts that encapsulates environmental awareness and entrepreneurial activity in Bridgetown, with particular emphasis on the Careenage and boardwalk”.
More rides are planned for today during Pan In The City in Independence Square, and a small fee is expected to be charged. (AH)
