Guyana: Former police commissioner killed

GEORGETOWN, Guyana, Sept 7, CMC – Former police commissioner Henry Greene died on Friday after his sport utility vehicle (SUV) was involved in a three-vehicular smash at Waller’s Delight, West Coast Demerara.
Green, 58, died at the West Demerara Regional Hospital where he had been taken for treatment.
Police said that nine-year-old Alicia Jamaldeen was also killed in the accident that left five other people injured.
The Guyana based Demerara Waves Online News said a truck and a car were also involved in the accident.
Greene retired in April, four months after he was accused of raping a 34 year old mother  at a city hotel.
