HEALING HERBS – Road to the child of health
By Annette Maynard-Watson | Mon, September 06, 2010 - 12:00 AM
Greetings!
Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it. (Proverbs 22:6).
When it comes to health and healing like all the other disciplines in life, we must pay attention to this proverb. Parents must try their best to adhere to these ancient words of wisdom and ask the Creator for guidance.
Today, as children enter the school compound much fuss will be placed on new school uniforms, classrooms, teachers and the other school accessories.
Today, as a teacher and herbal educator I advise schoolchildren
to add the topic “vibrant health” to their list for discussions. While talking about their new shoes and bags, also engage each other’s interest about holistic consumption of foods.
This month I will focus attention on holistic health empowerment for the entire school community. Many silent doctors are available to assist with uplifting us.
Today, I am providing a list of guidelines that may be followed, not only for personal knowledge, but to assist our students in reclaiming their divinity.
A healthier Barbados with less chronic childhood health challenges and a more peaceful and well disciplined child is what I envisage.
