HEALING HERBS – Take control of acid in the body
By Annette Maynard-Watson | Mon, August 23, 2010 - 12:00 AM
Greetings!
Let your natural instinct reign supreme on this journey of herbal mental liberation. Remember, ancestor Bob Marley believed that “none but ourselves can free our mind”.
Additionally, I congratulate those who excelled in examinations at all levels. Teachers, well done!
Likewise, I am also celebrating because all of my CXC social studies students passed that examination. I thanked the Creator while remaining ecstatic about their performances.
As a teacher and herbal educator, information about acid reflux is often requested. Teachers too may be affected with this health challenge. Many unselfishly go beyond the call of duty to ensure that the nation’s children are nurtured.
Note, however, that Barbadian “silent doctors” are readily available to assist with this challenge.
In retrospect, I had a grave challenge with acid in my body. I was extremely stressed and ate dinner at night because I was pursuing additional studies. Meals included fried foods and were inappropriately combined.
Late at night while preparing lesson plans, I also munched on goodies. Later, X-rays were recommended and I was informed of a hiatus hernia. Additionally, the prescribed medication, with many glaring listed side effects, was often questioned by the higher self.
However, the Creator also revealed needed wisdom, and truth be told, “silent doctors” ginger, nettle, turmeric, cayenne pepper, cerasee, water, a mental re-arrangement of my thoughts and lifestyle proved effective. I am overjoyed.
My advice is “none but yourself can free your mind”. I practised just that. Hence, the drastic but necessary re-arrangement of lifestyle caused tremendous weight lost. But the body has to tear down to build up.
Also, you must discontinue being secluded in the house because people are gossiping about the weight loss. Instead, face them with confidence because you will be a testimony and their fear will accelerate your healing.
Remember, I can advise you because they gossiped about me too, but better days came. I implore you to desist from saying “Oh Lord! I don’t know what to eat”. Stop that nonsense. Instead, repeat with assurance “the Creator will heal me! I will be healed”.
Too much acidity in the body can cause horrendous effects. I was depressed and fearful, in pain, nervous and my aesophagus “trembled”, I felt exceedingly sick, had distorted thoughts and it brought on the feeling of a “heart alert”.
To overcome acidity, I cleansed my body weekly with Barbadian healing herbs. I also conversed extensively with the Creator, avoided the negative thoughts about cancer that were planted. I compiled and followed a chart with acid and alkaline foods.
A ratio of 80 per cent alkaline to 20 per cent acid is excellent. I asked the Creator to consciously remove me from the stressful situations, I exercised sensibly, wore loose clothing, repeated positive affirmations, ate no perverted or tricked foods, eliminated fried foods and foods prepared or preserved with oil.
My bed is still raised. I curtailed eating after 6 p.m., drank “silent doctor” teas and used other personal remedies. In essence, I placed trust and confidence in my ability to heal myself and eventually balanced my body. I also regained my actual body weight.
Hence, be still and know that healing the body of over-acidity, while regaining a normal lifestyle, is a minor challenge once a holistic approach is implemented and maintained.

My late Gran walked wherever she wentand only ate natural, organic foods! She made bush tea, ‘proper’ lemonade and ginger beer and ate food as close to it’s natural state as possible! Milk came from her goat and my cassava porridge was made from that. As an adult I suffered a lot of skin and stomach complaints, which doctors couldn’t cure. I decided to ‘go back to basics’ like my Gran and cured myself! Why do you think Barbados has so many people over 100? Check out their diets and lifestyle!!
