STAFF of the National Cultural Foundation (NCF) and its board of management appear to be on a collision course, and the National Union of Public Workers (NUPW) is preparing to step in.
The latest complaint by staff was the late payment of salaries this month, a development some saw as a punitive measure, but which NCF officials called the result of problems experienced with the computerized payroll system.
NCF staffers, who called the SATURDAY SUN and spoke on condition of anonymity, said another sore point was an after-Crop Over lime, which was cancelled by the board but which staff held anyway, using funds they had raised.
However, the SATURDAY SUN understands that while the lime was recommended by the board last year, it was not sanctioned this year.
