Sixty-nine-year-old Pearline Downes is crying out for help.

She has been battling mosquitoes and the elements for the past few nights in a run-down home in Bathsheba, St Joseph.

Her house was damaged in 2010 by Tropical Storm Tomas. She abandoned it then, but was forced to return there last week when she was asked to leave the house she shared with her daughter for the past four years.

Downes, who has several health concerns, said she desperately needed some help finding somewhere decent to live. (LK)
