Minister of Health Donville Inniss, in sensitising Barbadians to good oral health care, said much of the health challenges could be easily diagnosed with regular check-ups. He stressed the need to have teeth checked twice a year.
Speaking today at a Colgate Palmolive oral health promotion today in Jubilee Gardens as part of Oral Health month, he encouraged Barbadians to give oral health care the same level of importance that they dedicated to physical health.
The minister said good oral care was also important for diabetics, who sometimes developed serious oral challenges.
