KEISHA?BRATHWAITE?has finally moved out of the housing unit which she was illegally occupying for the past two weeks, but by today she should be legally moving into another one.
Admitting that she was wrong, the 21-year-old woman, who is seven months pregnant and has two other children – aged four and three – moved her bed out of the National Housing Corporation (NHC) unit at Barbarees Hill, St Michael, on Tuesday evening and handed over the keys to officials at NHC yesterday.
She told the WEEKEND?NATION?that she was summoned to the NHC yesterday afternoon and informed that a unit at another location was being prepared for her.
“I?met with a Miss Chandler and she told me that they had found a unit for me in the Pine and to bring the rent for the unit today,” she stated. (MB)
