Kirani James wins gold in 400m

LONDON – Grenadian Kirani James snatched gold in the 400 metres final at the London Olympics today after brushing side his field in a new national and Caribbean record.
The 19-year-old clocked 43.94 seconds as he beat Luguelin Santos of the Dominican Republic, with Trinidadian Lalonde Gordon claiming bronze in a personal best 44.52 seconds.
