THERE WILL BE NO PAY this month for employees in a section of the Cave Hill campus of the University of the West Indies (UWI).

Yesterday, about 30 workers of the Cave Hill School of Business (CHSB) were summoned to a hurriedly called meeting with chief executive officer (CEO) Dr Jeannine Comma, who informed employees that they would not be paid their monthly salaries due tomorrow as was expected.

According to one of the disgruntled workers, they were shocked to learn that their salaries would not be ready until sometime in mid-October.

Requesting anonymity, the UWI employee told the MIDWEEK NATION workers were told that from ancillary staff to the chief executive officer would have to wait another two weeks before being paid their salaries.
