President of Mexico, Felipe Calderon, today assured members of the CARICOM that the region will have a clear voice when his country hosts the G20 Summit in Los Cabos, Mexico, next month.
Last week, Prime Minister of Barbados, Freundel Stuart, had noted the Central American financial and political powerhouse would be in a perfect position as chair of the G20 Summit, to articulate the issues, political, economical and environmental, currently facing Caribbean countries in the midst of the current recession.

Speaking during the official opening ceremony of the Mexico-CARICOM Summit at Hilton Barbados, Calderon also re-committed his country’s intention to assist in the redevelopment of Haiti, in the aftermath of an earthquake which virtually decimated the country in 2010.
