Four counts of misconduct have been added to the charges of two police officers who are already accused of indecently assaulting three American women.
Constables Anthony Straker, 27, and Donavan Price, 33, yesterday appeared in the District “A” Magistrates’ Court charged with engaging in willful misconduct, which amounted to an abuse of public trust, in demanding $40 payment for transport in a police vehicle from each of the three women and a fourth American woman they allegedly took to an apartment.
Separately, Price, a resident of Lower Carters Gap,?Enterprise, Christ Church is charged with criminal damage. It is alleged that he damaged a gate at the apartment complex.
The new charges arise out of the same December 7, 2012 incident that led to Straker, of South District, St George, being accused of indecently assaulting three women, Price being charged with one count of indecent assault, and the two jointly facing a charge of stealing a television set from Raja Apartments.
