There?are a lot of burning questions surrounding the suspension of her 14 year-old son from the Alma Parris School and Regina Whittaker intends to seek answers.
After Wednesday’s MIDWEEK?NATION carried the story about the boy who was suspended indefinitely five weeks ago, Whittaker said she received a telephone call from Principal Valdez Francis informing her to bring her son to school on Friday.
A relieved Whittaker said her son was anxious to return to school but she still wanted to know if it was legal for a Principal to suspend a child indefinitely and how the school intended to compensate her son for the five weeks of school work he  missed.
Producing the suspension form handed her by the Principal, Whittaker pointed out that the reason given for the suspension was that her son had been implicated in the disappearance of a student’s electronic item. (MB)
