New Med School

THIS ISLAND’S first offshore medical school, the American University of Barbados (AUB), opens on January 20 in Wildey, St Michael.
As many as 20 students from India and the United States and at least two from here are expected to be on the initial roll when classes commence in the building that once housed Donnelly Barbados.
AUB director Dr Gurmohan Brar disclosed that the university is a branch of Era’s Lucknow Medical College and Hospital – based in Lucknow, India – an acknowledged centre of excellence in medical education, volunteer medical care, training and research.
Brar said the university’s curriculum was designed to meet requirements in the United States and other countries across the globe. And as Eras Lucknow degrees are recognized worldwide, AUB graduates would be able to take the entrance exams of their respective countries and practise anywhere.

I dont like to mix apples with oranges,but I question if this school that has no history of success has gained accredidation with the BAC.AND ON WHAT GROUNDS?
