There is no truth to the rumours that Barbados is under a tornado watch.
The reports were circulating today via BBM (Blackberry Messenger) but meteorologists said no such alerts were issued.
The officials reported that a strong low level convergence was affecting Barbados and was reponsible for the inclement weather experienced today.
Meteorologists said this weather was coming ahead of an approaching tropical wave.
They also said Barbadians can expect similar conditions tomorrow with gusty winds and sharp brief showers throughout the day. (DB)
