Former Empire stalwart Noel Symmonds is dead.
He passed away this morning at the age of 84 after a brief illness.
Symmonds was well known for his longstanding association with the Empire Sports Club, and he was also a longstanding member of the Barbados Cricket Association.
He also represented Barbados in tennis at the Caribbean Tennis Championships.
His sister, Dame Patricia Symmonds described her brother as a man who loved sports, particularly tennis.
