OPPOSITION LEADER Owen Arthur says there was nothing “sinister” about a meeting he held with the executive of the St Thomas branch Tuesday night in the absence of MP Cynthia Forde.

“I am absolutely sure that Miss Forde was invited to the meeting as she has been invited to every meeting under my leadership,” Arthur said. “That she didn’t come is to be regretted but there was absolutely no purpose why I would not invite Miss Forde to a meeting.
“Since I have become Opposition Leader she has not attended any meeting which I have convened or responded to any communication from me.”
