THE NATIONAL UNION of Public Workers (NUPW) is extending a further helping hand to its members.

This time it is in the form of free lessons for their children who are preparing for the Common Entrance Examination.

Classes are held at the NUPW headquarters on Saturday afternoons, and are being done in association with Sagicor which hosted the launch of the programme at its Wildey, St Michael offices this morning.

Principal of Parkinson Memorial Secondary School Jeff Broomes is one of the teachers and he is also donating two of the books he wrote on the preparation of the exam to every child.

Lessons started two weeks ago and 15 students have taken advantage of the opportunity so far. (YB)
