They may be getting on in years, but patients of the Geriatric Hospital showed they were not too old to have a rollicking time.
Yesterday they gyrated, danced and pranced during the fourth annual hospital mini-kadooment.
The event, one of the activities for Senior Citizens Week, gave the patients and staff the opportunity to unwind and shake a leg – in some cases literally one leg – to the uptempo soca rhythms blasting from a music van.
The heat did not stop the party, although given the ages of some of the participants, precautions had to be taken. Still, there was hardly an incident as they moved along the short route around part of the hospital.
Here, Cardinal Norville was raring to go, one leg and all, as a delighted Marcia Dottin from LIME tried to keep up.
