Muttiah Muralitharan captured a record 800th Test wicket with the final ball of his career yesterday.
The 38-year-old leading wicket-taker in Tests and One-Day Internationals dismissed India’s Pragyan Ojha to become the first man to reach the 800 mark in a fitting finale to a brilliant career, with his family cheering him on from the stands.
