Police Band celebrates 125 years

FOR 125 YEARS the band of the Royal Barbados Police Force has serenaded many an audience locally, regionally and internationally.

This morning at a church service at the St Mary’s Anglican Church, its achievements were celebrated under the theme United in Harmony, Continuing the Legacy.

Director of Music Keith Ellis said the band continues to provide quality entertainment for a variety of audiences. 

He also thanked the band members for their dedication, pointing out that on average, band members had served as many as 30 years with the world-famous group. (LK)
