Property plus for Barbados

Barbados' popularity as a destination for people looking to invest in properties away from home has risen, according to a leading international property website.
The island moved up four places to No. 9 in the Top of the Props chart published by TheMoveChannel.com at the end of last year.
Barbados is the only Caribbean Community (CARICOM) country in the top ten and one of four in the list of 40. The others were: Belize, which moved up nine spots to 22; St Lucia, at 29, after a five-spot drop; and Jamaica, falling one place to 34.
The website said the end of 2011 saw “a last-minute rush of attention for Barbados and Morocco” which replaced Cyprus and Greece at the bottom of the top ten.

All I have to say in this matter we cannot sell all of our properties when Barbadians need homes for their own. Too many properties were sold within the last years, what are we going to do when our children can’t buy or be able to ever purchased land in their own country again because of foreign interest buying and taking the prices to another level…..please stop this madness now, look at the long run what problems will confront us in the future; we cannot only think of now and nor what consequences for a lack of foresight ...

Comment LinkThey are not investing in Barbados.They are stealing the property from Bajans.Buying the land at 10 to 20 cents on the dollar..When you sell all the land.Where are you gonna live.who will run the country.if you own the land.You own the country.
