TWENTY-NINE PUPILS of the Wesley Hall Infants School’s Environmental Club toured the Marine Reserve at Folkestone Park in St James yesterday morning.
Teacher Margaret Powlett said: “The club, which has been in existence for the past ten years, has been adopted by the Ministry of the Environment and the club assists the pupils to know more and to appreciate the environment in which they live and also play their part.”
She explained that “our tour today is to educate the children about marine life and to see the various species that are in our oceans”.
The students were excited about the tour, during which they saw varieties of fish, crabs and other marine creatures.
