IT IS THE love of giving that inspires Julie Dash to host her annual Magical Island Safari for children.
“Everything is take, take these days; but people have to find things that make them happy, and this truly makes me happy,” Dash said.
She added that the safari, now in its third iteration, was her way of giving to the children of Barbados.
Children were recommended by the public via letters and email, and the final group chosen by a selection panel.
This year, 45 children from across the island took part in the tour, which covered areas like Hackleton’s Cliff in St John, Bathsheba in St Joseph and Cove Bay in St Lucy.
Dash thanked the 20 plus sponsors who supported the event, adding that “although many [sponsors] are having it tough economically, there are more prizes this year than ever”. (CA)
