Salvation Army gets $45 000

THE?SALVATION?ARMY?received a financial injection of $45 000 thanks to the British Women’s Club of Barbados following a fundraising venture at their 40th anniversary celebrations last March.
The presentation was made this afternoon at the Clock Tower Garrison, St Michael in the presence of fellow club members and representatives of the Salvation Army.
The money goes towards a purchase of a three-phase commercial generator for the Army’s headquarters at Reed Street, The City.
Attending the presentation were Maggie Blackman president of the British Women’s Club of Barbados; Wilfred Field, Advisory Board Member Salvation Army; Julie Raizman and Caroline Gardiner event organisers in the club; vice president Sally Crawford vice; Paul Bernstein, deputy chairman of the Advisory board of the Salvation Army and Major Denzil Walcott public relations officer of the Salvation Army.
