Barbados’ lone surviving national hero Sir Garfield Sobers was among those attending the National Heroes Day Thanksgiving Service at the Western Light Church of the Nazarene yesterday.
Enjoying the service that featured the Royal Barbados Police Band and vocalist Adrian Clarke, among others, the greatest cricket all-rounder of all time was lauded for his contribution as the morning service focused on encouraging Barbadians to follow the examples of their heroes.
