JAMES SISNETT, the oldest man in Barbados, will add one year more on Wednesday.
And Sisnett, who has 11 children, 25 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren, started his week the way he said God would have wanted him to – attending church.
Sisnett, 111 years old, journeyed from his Ocean View Nursing Home at Graeme Hall, Christ Church, to Brighton, St George, for the 8 a.m. Mass at St Luke’s Anglican Church, along with his three sons Lindsay, 67, James Desmond, 81, and Vincent, who will be celebrating his 69th birthday on Wednesday too.
The former resident of Ellerton, St George, attends church as often as possible, including Good Friday’s three-hour service. He said that he was happy to be at church and felt “good, good, good” to be turning 112 shortly.
