FOR A SECOND time, bandleader Kevin Small has played his cards right.

His kiddies band Fifth Element has claimed the Best Junior Band title in this year’s Junior Kadooment and Fair.

The band, which was themed We Playin’ De Right Cards, and its 130 masqueraders dominated the National Stadium yesterday.

Last year’s winner Gwyneth Squires and her band Proud To Be A Bajan had to settle for second while Trevor Nicholls’ Young Spirits Community Group with its Northern Exposia theme took third spot.

Last night Small said he was excited to have done it again. He thanked his team and supporters. (TSG)
