HOW widespread do Barbadian motorists use their cellphones on the road?

Check tomorrow’s WEEKEND NATION to find out.

On the heels of a disclosure from the General Insurance of Barbados that four in every ten accidents locally are caused by driver distractions such as mobile phones, we spent five hours in five different locations to observe the extent to which motorists use their phones when driving.

We will present the findings in a special report in which road safety advocates intensify their calls for amendments to the Road Traffic Act.  (HG)
