Suki takes 10-point lead

World Go-As-You-Please champion, Ronald “Suki” King, rushed in to a clear ten-point lead when the Magicians Draughts Club’s inaugural Open Go-As-You-Please Tournament began Sunday.
Playing at the Top Grade Academy in Bush Hall Yard Gap, St Michael, King had a scare in his first match against Gregory Simmons, who won the first of his two encounters, but was forced into submission in the third game.
After three of the six scheduled rounds, King is two points ahead of Simmons, Carson Farley, Colin Price and Junior Walrond, who are locked in second position on eight points.
The tournament ends on Sunday with the three remaining rounds starting at 4.30 p.m.
The presentation ceremony has been has been set for Tuesday, April 24, at Top Grade Academy. (EZS)
