Teachers still in dark

EVEN AFTER AN emergency board meeting, it is still unclear what will be the fate of the four teachers recently terminated from their posts at the Challenor Creative Arts and Training Centre.

It is understood that yesterday’s meeting, which was attended by top board members, including vice-chair James Paul, was convened to discuss the current impasse with the former teachers.

When contacted, Paul declined to say much but stressed that “it is a sensitive matter for everybody involved” and that “the matter is being addressed”.

Probed about whether a decision was made to rehire the teachers or, for that matter, why they were initially sacked, Paul was mum.
