The battle is on

It will be a ding dong battle for the Sweet Soca crown at McEnearney Quality Inc 98.1 The One Soca Royale on July 25 at Busy Park.
Three first timers to the sweet soca competition, Mike Thompson with Coming Soon, Biggie Irie’s Cyaan Be Ovah and Adrian Clarke Aint Saying Nothing will go up against reigning monarch TC, who has held the crown for two years.
Reigning monarch TC, who will be performing sixth, said that she is ready for the competition this year.
“I am doing nothing differently this year. On the day it all comes down to execution,” she said.
The order of appearance for the Sweet Soca competition in the McEnearney Quality Inc 98.1 The One Soca Royale are as follows, Mike Thompson: Coming Soon, Biggie Irie: Cyaan Be Ovah, TC & Peter Ram: Coming Down, Blood: Insane, Adrian Clarke: Aint Saying Nothing, TC: That’s What I Wanna do, Edwin Yearwood: Good Time, Mikey: Jammin and Red Plastic Bag: Once Upon a Whine.  
The reserves are Donella: Wuk It and Lorenzo: Everything.
The order of appearance for the Party Monarch finals are: Michael Thompson: Bajan Line Dance, Brett Linton: I ready, Sammijane: Right Hey, Eric Lewis: Tek de done and Guh Long, Blood: De Experience, Mikey: Pavement Anticipation, TC: Blaze It Up, Edwin: Cova de Road, Lil Rick: Crazy People and Khiomal: Poze.
The reserve is Hee Haw: Higher.
Defending monarch Blood said that he is ready for the competition.
“Preparations are going great I started getting ready for the monarch from the time I was an automatic finalist. My dancers have been working from the start of Cro Over and we are getting everything in place to put on a production for the Party Monarch finals,” he said.
The draws were made today at the National Cultural Foundation headquarters in West Terrace, St James.
