YTANNIA WIGGINS believes it’s time  for a serving of youth.

National women’s football’s long-serving manager is throwing her hat in the ring to be a director of the Barbados Olympic Association’s (BOA), citing the lack of a succession plan for the Olympic movement.

“Each association needs a measure  of continuity to move forward,” said the 36-year-old Wiggins ahead of Wednesday’s general elections, “and my issue is that I don’t think the BOA has carefully thought out a succession plan for when the older members inevitably move on.

“Right now, I believe they need  a balance of youth and experience for continuity so the changing of the guard will happen smoothly, and I want to be there when the transition is being made.
