Trinity Academy, in its first year of operation, has produced two of the top mathematics students in this year’s Common Entrance Examination.
Tia Mahon and Dominique Bovell scored identical marks – 98 per cent in mathematics, 94 per cent in grammar and a ‘B’ in composition – in the May 4 exam.
They will both be attending Queen’s College when the new term starts in September.
Nineteen children from the Eagle Hall, St Michael school took the exam.
Six will be attending Harrison College and four will be going to Queen’s College.
Class teacher Faling Odle described the class as a “very hard-working and self-motivated” one.
Bovell said the exam “wasn’t hard but it wasn’t easy” and she was excited about attending the St Peter school later this year.
Mahon, meanwhile, said she felt “good” about her achievements. (NB)
