Tuach still riding high

JUST ONE DAY after winning the Copper Medal at the International Surfing Association’s (ISA) World Surfing Championships, Chelsea Tuach was back  in the water competing in Los Cabos, Mexico, where she was third  in the Girls’ 1 000 Pro Junior and 17th in the 6 000 Women’s Pro.

Tuach had to race from the podium in Nicaragua to catch a flight to Mexico for the two World Surf League (WSL) events.

In the women’s qualification series 6 000 event, Tuach surfed a strong Round of 48 heat to top championship tour surfer Dimity Stoyle, who was second. Michaela Green of Australia and Carol Enrique from Brazil were third and fourth, respectively, in the same round.
