THREE TEAMS WILL SEEK to restore their pride and another three will be out to maintain their unbeaten record when the LIME Pelican Football Challenge continues at Kensington Oval tonight.
With the final of cricket’s Sagicor General Super Cup also being held at the same venue earlier in the day, the first game between Nu Look 360 Connection and Tech4Less Combined All Stars may either be deferred or start at least an hour after the original 5 p.m. scheduled starting time.
However, 360 Connection, last year’s losing finalists, will definitely be looking to improve on their disappointing start after drawing 1-1 with unfancied Sportstown Galaxy and then being thrashed 3-0 by Phoenix Toyota UFO Fire House.
On the other hand, unbeaten All Stars will be buoyed by their 1-0 win over Red Snappers after starting off with a 1-1 against T.S. Strikers.
T.S. Strikers, who are coming off a 2-0 victory over Galaxy, will put their two-match unbeaten record on the line in the night’s second game at 7 p.m. against a Red Snappers side hungry for their first win after an opening 2-2 draw with Fire House was followed by the loss to All Stars.

Red Snappers captain Jeffrey Williams didn’t shine against All Stars and he will want to make amends tonight in partnership with youthful national senior midfielder Raheim Sargeant while Kenry Skinner leads the attack.
The nightcap match at 9 p.m. between Indar Weir Travel Centre Top Bay Settlers and Akademiks – who have won both of their matches for the maximum six points – should be a cracker.
Top Bay, smarting from the 3-0 whipping they received from Kick L.G. Strike Force last Sunday, will be hoping experienced Dwayne “Ticky” Skinner is fit enough to take his place in defence, alongside national Under-20 captain Ricardio Morris.
Akademiks have a very balanced outfit with national striker Mario Harte partnered by Arantees Lawrence and former Barbados striker Peter Stoute.
With Lionel Paul, Neil Shepherd and Jason Goodridge in midfield and roving former Barbados defender Randy Burrowes as the link between defence and attack, Akademiks will be fancying their chances of a third straight victory.
Their cause could be helped if experienced goalkeeper Bernard Howell is unable to play again and young Delandro Belgrave is forced to stand between the uprights for Top Bay.
At the other end, Top Bay will need to decide whether to continue starting with both Hendy Richards and Mustafa Haqq who are yet to score, or give former Barbados striker Ryan Lucas and Chad Parris the start upfront, along with first match two-goal hero Ryan “Shaky” Griffith.
Akademiks’ defence will be manned by Omar Primus and Jermaine Caesar with support from teenager Akeem Maloney and roving wing back Corey Taitt.
Coach/player Kent Hall has been the midfield mastermind for Top Bay but it will be interesting to see what position veteran Gregory “Lalu” Goodridge will play.
