THE UNREST IN VENEZUELA is likely to be a talking point when Barbados’ Prime Minister, Freundel Stuart, meets with Caracas’ Ambassador José Gómez Febresto sometime this week.
The issue of the unrest was raised today as the Inter-American Press Association continued its mid-year meeting at Hilton Barbados Resort.
Responding to a question from the floor, Stuart said he would like to see an end of the disturbances in Venezuela and if there was anything his country could do to help in this regard, it would do it.
He also announced the planned talks with the Venezuelan diplomat, which will be on “matters of mutual interest”. (TY)
