Venus and Serena Win French Open Doubles

PARIS — Venus and Serena Williams have won their fourth consecutive Grand Slam doubles title and 12th overall by beating Katarina Srebotnik and Kveta Peschke 6-2, 6-3 at the French Open.
The top-seeded Williams sisters’ victory in Friday’s final makes them only the third women’s doubles pair to win four major titles in a row. Martina Navratilova and Pam Shriver did it in 1983-84, and Gigi Fernandez and Natasha Zvereva did it in 1992-93.
It’s the second French Open doubles championship for the sisters, but first since 1999.
The doubles title might take some of the sting away from the Williams’ exits in the French Open singles tournament. No. 1-ranked Serena lost in the quarterfinals, and No. 2 Venus lost in the fourth round.(AP)

Well done girls. YOU ARE THE BEST, AND NO ONE, BUT GOD AND YOURSELVES, can defeat you at this ‘once upon a time white man’s game’, when you really make up your minds to play.

There are many, out there, who will try to distract you by commenting negatively, on everything you do and say. But keep focus, and continue the good work.
You are both on top of the ranking again, but regardless of what ranking they give you two, YOU ARE STILL THE BEST.

not advancing to the finals
of the French Open.
