Water outages in St Lucy districts

Sun, August 26, 2012 - 11:22 AM

The Barbados Water Authority started to receive a number of complaints of low pressure and water outages in some St. Lucy areas on Saturday afternoon. Investigations have shown that there is a problem at the Alleynedale Pumping Station in St. Lucy which has in turn affected the facilities at Half Acre, Lamberts and Boscobelle.

BWA personnel continue work today Sunday to resolve the pump issue at Alleynedale. As an interim measure, the Authority has dispatched water tankers to assist customers in the affected areas while crews carry out repair work.

The Authority's crews are also today repairing a burst on a 4-inch main on Whitehall Main Road, St. Michael.

The BWA apologises for the disruption in service to its valued customers and thanks you for your patience and understanding in this matter. (PR)
