Nine-time champs Wesley Hall will meet first-time finalists Eden Lodge in the final of this year’s Guardian General Herman Griffith Primary Schools Cricket Competition at the Empire Club in Bank Hall on Thursday.
Wesley Hall and Eden Lodge secured contrasting victories in their semi-finals over Bayley’s and St Christopher, respectively, at Dover and Friendship yesterday.
Captain Rivaldo Clarke guided Wesley Hall (125-7) to a tense three-wicket triumph over Bayley’s (124-6) with an unbeaten 48 after taking two wickets.
Eden Lodge’s hero was all-rounder Ajani Watkins, who took two wickets for 15 runs to help restrict St Christopher to 87-6 in their 25 overs. He returned to score an unbeaten 14 to see his team reach 92-3 in 12.3 overs. Shaquir Parris top-scored for Eden Lodge with 20.
