What’s Trending: Budget debates

The Nation’s Online Editor Carol Martindale looks at What’s Trending in Barbados today.

This week’s Budget Debate continues to engage readers.

Many have been weighing in on the debates in the House of Assembly from the various parliamentarians.

This is what some had to say.

Wayne T Griffith: “Most Barbadians were horrified and taken aback by the poor level of debate from the DLP Government last night. People want answers but all they are hearing is rhetoric. When will they get off the political platform and get to work? Oh... Too late now.”

Kemar Bacchanal Sobers: “It is a shame when you have a government repeating stuff today for the past 5 years (June 2007). The government has spent 4.5 years in office and cannot bring a record that speaks for itself so it prefers to slash and burn the acts of a party for 14 years who has done nothing but still was able to make Barbados the envy of the world. BLP has a proud record that it can stand on. We don't need to do such as Mia said. We don't want to know what happened in the past as it has already happened. We want to know about our future so that we can have faith in the people leading this country.”
